FML

hi readers. This site has been a great exercise in writing. Unfortunately one of the main contributors’ family members refuses to respect his privacy, and he will unable to submit further stories and posts.

Its been fun, but being unable to make anonymous posts pretty much takes all the fun out of writing. It’s been great writing all of these stories but without privacy I won’t be able to contribute any further under this site name.

    what…/

    • This was a great blog, but unfortunately my wife refuses to respect my privacy, and has made every effort to read my personal emails, check my browsing history and search for my blog online. My wife refuses to respect my privacy, so I can no longer write unfiltered posts in any subject I please because every time I close this site and reopen it, my wife tracks it down.

I write a lot of fiction, but being unable to speak frankly and anonymously about my life is pretty much ruining this hobby for me.

Understandable Jake. Thanks for the good times, and if you find a way to have a secret internet life free of censorship, please let us know.

Regardless, you have been one of the highlights of living in Korea for the last six months or so. You will be missed.

  3. broken says:

This is terrible news, your “friends” posts were excellent entertainment, easily the best in The Filth.
I’m sure you’re capable of some tech brilliance, just use a different machine to upload or something, eh?

  4. Gollywog says:

That really sucks. I really enjoyed reading your blog.
    Divorce her and keep writing.

  5. Keith says:

    Nooooooooooooo,
With every single unproductive passing day spent sat at my computer desk at my mundane public school job, this website is the first window I open before my day of entertaining unmotivated students begins.
I need this to fulfil my manly needs!!!

It will be VERY sadly missed!!

  6. Rusty Shackleford says:

    Boo! Mrs. Jake!

  7. Noky says:

Shame to hear that you can’t keep the blog running. Good luck to you though, easily one of the best reads is now gone. Let us know if you ever change your mind and bring ‘The Prestige’ back.

    • I’ll be back, but I have no freedom to operate any kind of blog from my house, because it seems I’m under conant supervision. I don’t even feel like I can do anything on my PC without being watched all the time. This is making writing difficult.

My next project will have a totally different name.

Why are you married again?….All right next time, make it a secured blog. Passwords, screenames, etc. Clear your browsing history every time you exit the house.

  8. Username says:

That is bogus, hombre. As I no longer live in Korea, most k-blog are irrelevant (or suck balls) – yours is/was the only one I still read. RIP, Charisma Man of Korea.

    Username

PS – I hope you at least use the “porn mode” on Google Chrome when researching your tranny stories.

  9. Seoulman says:

    Nooooooo!

  10. blastface says:

Pull a Mr. Wonderful and do your writing at a PC Bang while drinking 10cent sugar/milk coffee from a vending machine. And also, send that wife of yours packing. No offense, but she sounds like a first class cunt.

  11. Josh says:

I ran across this blog last night and spent 2 hours reading the archives. The interviews with Ajeossi were classic. Glad I found it when I did – sad to hear the news. You could always ditch the wife and keep writing man.

  12. Busan Mike says:

This is really bad news. I loved your blog. And now even the history is gone – I wish I’d saved the posts. I hope things work out for you, and that I’ll be able to enjoy your writing again.

  13. Marcus says:

Can’t you post in ‘privacy mode’ in your chrome/firefox?

Hope your wife didn’t give you too much hell

    • Arghaeri says:

That’s one of the reasons I use firefox , have it set to delete all history immediately on closing it.

Sad to hear this too Jake, been one of my first reads for a while now.

      • It’s not really a Firefox thing, it’s more of a “someone is always looking over my shoulder and I have no privacy in my own house” kind of thing. Having the site show up on google was also a big mistake. Lessons learned, version 3.0 in progress.

  14. Roarchild says:

Will really miss your blog and it’s easily my favourite.

Best of luck with future projects.

  15. wifeproblem says:

have you thought of dumping the wife? life’s too short man…

  16. Hey Jake, that’s bad news man. Your blog has been one of my inspirations and now it’s like one of the lights has gone out here. I hope you’ll be back soon.

  17. Seriously sad about this, I just subscribed to you a week ago and found you very entertaining. I hope you’ll allow to share with me your new blog’s URL.

    Greetings from Taipei

It’s time to make a clear connection between the wife’s monthly allowance, and her puter-snooping. Tell her she can have one or the other, but not both.

  19. Mrs. Kalbi says:

I’m so sorry to hear that. I really enjoyed your writing – you’ll be missed, Jake!

  20. Sorry to hear this. You and Mr Wonderful were the two best blogs written in Korea.

  21. Colonel Fernandez says:

Sorry to hear this. I very much understand the therapeutic relief writing brings, especially while living amongst the insanity of Korea. Your blog beat out the humdrum hobos that hung out at marmots hole and korea beat. Calling it what it is without trying to put any icing on the top.

  22. Jay says:

    Damn dude…

I really enjoyed your blog. I hope you start writing again.

    Cheers

  23. noelle says:

So sad about this blog closing down. I do hope you come back pretty soon (or are you back?)

  24. 林東哲 says:

Big shame as much of the Klogosphere is tourist shite. Hope you find a solution and can begin afresh. Thanks for the privilege of being on your blog roll.

    Nick
